Touching the Sore Spots…
There are many books written which help children relate to and gain some understanding of relational or emotional problems such as bullying, inclusiveness, diversity, dis-Ability and fear.
As teachers we often take the opportunity to share picture books on these subjects. My third article shares two picture books and ideas of how they can be used in the classroom. Click here to download the article.
Acknowledging we are qualified teachers means we need to take care how we use such resources and it may be prudent to check our situations with a professional social worker if we suspect these resources may ‘touch the sore spot’
